I. Key Department News:
- Southwest Regional Gap Analysis & Colorado Plateau Projects to be Presented. On November 8, 2000 the Colorado Plateau Data Coordination Group and the Southwest Users Group will meet in Moab, Utah. Presentation will include the Center for Biological Informatics' (CBIs) Land Use History of North America (LUHNA) Colorado Plateau Project and the Southwest Regional Gap Analysis Project. The two groups represent natural resource managers and GIS professionals from federal, state, and local government agencies in the southwest U.S. The Colorado Plateau Data Coordination Group, headed by EPA Region 8, and CBI are currently exploring potential areas of collaboration and data sharing.
