II. Agency Works on Presidential Initiatives:

• CBI and Urguay Create Spanish Metadata Graphics. In a joint international effort to provide Spanish version metadata graphics, Dr. Carlos Lopez of the Clearinghouse Nacional De Datos Geograficos, Republica Oriental del Uruguay and Susan Stitt of the Center for Biological Informatics will be generating the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata color graphics in spanish. Dr. Lopez has translated the FGDC element names and associated phrases into spanish, and Susan will modify the graphics to include the translation. (Susan Stitt, Denver, 303-202-4234)
