USGS-FWS Vegetation Mapping Projects

CBI is working with Region 6 of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on vegetation classification, description, and mapping projects. Current projects include Ouray National Wildlife Refuge in Utah and Lacreek National Wildlife Refuge in South Dakota. A rich suite of vegetation datasets (spatial, classification, and accuracy assessment) will be produced for use in refuge management and monitoring under respective refuge Comprehensive Conservation Plans.
