Gravia Polenova, 1952 is clearly a nomen nudum. Though proposed in 1952 (Trudy VNIGRI, 60, 84), the genus Gravia Polenova became not available because the designated type species (G. Aculeata Polenova) has been neither figured and has caught up on description (Art. 68a, IRZN) in 1953 (Trudy VNIGRI, 68, 283). In a like manner, the names Graviinae Polenova, 1952, Graviidae Polenova, 1952 (if at all usable) are not available. Over and over again, this has been pointed out by Becker. In a recent paper (Freiberger Forsch.), however, the Genus Pribylites (Gravia) Polenova, 1952 was again dealt with.
