Requests for Assistance
Ainsworth, Nigel Richard. Can you please keep sending your reprints!!
Athersuch, John A. Just because I am not currently involved in academic work, please don't drop me from your mailing lists. My interests are still principally MiddleEast/N African Jurassic - Tertiary ostracods, non-marine ostracods of West Africa/S America.
Bate, Ray. Keen to communicate with workers researching lacustrine ostracod faunas, particularly of the Mesozoic, with respect to their taxonomy and environmental distribution.
Bodergat, Anne-Marie. I would be very grateful if anyone could give me 1) picked recent carapaces of Leucocythere mirabilis, hydrological data available and water samples with them, or 2) the partition coefficient of Mg and Sr for this species. I want to use these carapaces for trace element analysis; so, unfortunately, I would not be able to return them.
Boomer, Ian. Any information on cave faunas, particularly karst cave systems which may have interglacial deposits and also modern assemblages What species live in European cave streams and ponds today?
Carmo, Dermeval Aparecido Do: I would be grateful for reprints related to non-marine Cretaceous ostracodes.
Coimbra, João Carlos: I will be grateful for reprints related to cladistic studies in ostracodes.
Cusminsky, Gabriela C. Gabriela would like to come in contact with colleages interested in the study of Tertiary and Quaternary lacustrine ostracoda as well as with researchers who work on recent ostracoda. On the other hand she would like to have information about lacustrine resistant eggs of Ostracoda.
Echevarría, Alicia. Aliciawould be very thankfull in receive reprints related to non marine and marine Cenozoic Ostracoda.
Ferrero, Laura. Laura will be happy receiving reprints related to the systematic and ecology of Quaternary and Recent fresh-water, brackish and marine Ostracoda.
Hoibian, Thierry. I am looking for papers on ostracods from Indo-Pacific islands concerning mainly systematic and ecology.
Kaesler, Roger: 1) The Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology needs to maintain its library of paleontological literature. Please send reprints of all your work, and ask your colleagues to do so, too. 2) I am interested in the morphology of the late Paleozoic ostracode Amphissites centronotus. If you have any specimens, please contact me by e-mail.
Kulkoyluoglu, Okan. I would like to see more studies on ostracodes and their use in ecological, evolutionary and conservation related studies. It is bizarre that even though ostracodes have a long past history (Cambrian), none of the evolutionary book mentions about them. This tells me one thing that we, ostracodologists, are not good to introduce and describe the importance of ostracodes to others, or are we?
Mallikarjuna, U. B.: I am looking forward to Post-Doctoral Fellowship/ collaborative work on marine Jurassic-Early Paleogene ostracodes elsewhere. I am happy to receive the papers deals with the pollution aspect, Isotopic studies using ostracode carapaces and sequence stratigraphy.
Mannikeri, M. S. Solicits recent publication of Middle Jurassic, Palaeogee and Recent marine and nonmarine ostracodes and foraminifers from the Indo-Pacific and Tethys regions. Also interested to exchange type material from these areas.
Oakley, Todd. Ostracods preserved directly into 100% ethanol for a molecular phylogeny that is in progress.
Ramos, Maria Inês Feijó. Any contributions to the Palaeontology Laboratory from the Instituto de Ciências Exatas, Departamento de Geociências, Universidade do Amazonas, will be welcome (macro-microfossils). Thank you.
Rossi, A. I will very grateful to receive a copy of these articles: ·1) Swain F. M. (1946), "Upper Jurassic Ostracoda from the cotton Valley Group in northern Louisiana: The genus Hustsonia " Journal of Palaeontology v. 20, 119-129. 2) Swain F. M. (1952), "Ostracoda from wells in North Carolina, Part 2, Mesozoic Ostracoda" US Geol. Survey, Prof. Papers 234B, 59-93, pls 8-9.
Schellenberg, Stephen A. I would appreciate any reprints on deep-ocean ostracodes, modern or ancient (particulary Paleogene), and communications from anyone with similar interests.
Vaidya, Arun. I would appreciate receiving anyinformation, reprints, and samples on Quaternary, marine and nonmarine ostracodes and foraminifers from the Indo-Pacific and Tethys regions. I am also interested in exchanging type material
