Description:

Abstract:: This shapefile represents the boundaries of Colonial National Historical Park (COLO). It was obtained from Charles Rafkind, Natural Resource Specialist, Colonial National Historical Park in May 2003 and edited by staff of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Natural Heritage.
Purpose:: This shapefile was used to provide a general representation of the COLO boundary for the vegetation classification and mapping project completed by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Natural Heritage in June 2008.

Process_Description:: Staff of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Natural Heritage (VA DNR) edited the COLO boundary shapefile obtained from Charles Rafkind, Natural Resource Specialist, Colonial National Historical Park to remove the Cheatham Annex portion that was acquired by the Navy in 2004 and that the NPS requested VA DNR not to map.
