Physical Descriptive Data for Plots, Part 2

These data were collected under contract by The Nature Conservancy, through a contract with the Environmental Research Systems Institute. They consist of descriptions
of the physical description for each site, site code, site name, GPS coordinates, elevation, slope, aspect, topographic setting, landform, surface geology, cowardin system
type, surface materials, leaf characteristics, and physiography. If your browser has tables capability, see the table version of this file Part 1,
table version of this file Part 2 and table version of this file Part 3with your browser. For download, Excel(*.xls) and MDbase(*.mdb) formats are available.

Other Data for Plots include Species Listing Data.

This PINCON "forest" has been heavily impacted by bark beetle. It's very open with lots of downed logs (PINCON). The area is clearly visible on the aerial photo. No BPU here, but we thought it was worth sampling because it was so distinct. PINCON age = 90 yrs. 12/19/2000 sfk 37

There are small patches of CARUTR scattered around pond, but it's not extensive. Carex heads have all disarticulated, so can't tell which species it is. We'll return in summer of 2001 when Carex is in fruit to collect and ID it. 12/20/2000 sfk 6

This shrubland sits above Sullivan Meadow. It's sort of disturbed so isn't real representative. There was a homestead here in the 1800's but overall the area's not too disturbed. A few trees were cut down along this slope. There are also patches of dense CRADOU along this slope, higher on slope. 12/21/2000 sfk 25
