Process_Description:

The standard plot point forms developed for the USGS-NPS Mapping Program were used to record vegetation information on randomly selected points in the field. Location information from GPS units were recorded on the form and then entered into a text file. The text file was used to 'generate' the ArcInfo coverage. Later, the information on the plot forms were entered into a database (PLOTS). This database was exported into a file which was then attached to this coverage, hence all the attribute items.
