The X-Y points were recorded using a GPS unit with an accuracy of about 5 meters.

Process_Description:

Plot points located by visually selecting an area of interest. Data collected using standard NVCS Plot Point collection form. Plot points were staked out in a 10x10 or 20x20m square. The larger plots were used when trees dominated the vegetation. Plot data was entered into the PLOTS progam; data outputed from this database was then linked back to the coverage to attrribute all the points. Point coverage created using certain ArcInfo commands and a text file of the x-y coordinates of each point.
